CapeNature is a public institution with the responsibility for biodiversity conservation in the Western Cape. It strives to promote and ensure nature conservation; render services and provide facilities for research and training; as well as generate income. CapeNature is committed to improving access to protected areas for local communities in order to promote greater conservation consciousness within the Western Cape.

CapeNature is in charge of all the reserves within the Western Cape inheriting 24 Nature Reserves stretching from the Boland to the Garden Route regions, thereby allowing access to areas with superb picnic spots, natural swimming pools, plunging waterfalls, invigorating hikes, mountain-biking and all the clear air, fantastic bird watching and colourful fynbos you can imagine.
